My Background

Having spent most of my life in administration and personnel management, I qualified in massage and reflexology in 2000 and went on to study Reiki I and II and then Thermo-Auricular Therapy. I have studied maternity reflexology with Susanne Enzer and pregnancy massage with the Clare Maxwell Hudson School. I became a Reiki Master in 2008.

I have a passion for reflexology and its power as a therapy never ceases to amaze me.

I have been working as a therapist at the Raworth Clinic in Dorking for eight years. I have also been working as a college reflexology examiner. I have been working at the JA Centre in Leigh for six years. Over the past few years, I have specialised in offering reflexology, Reiki and infertility treatments in the Dorking, Surrey area. I shall also be working from the Christian Centre in Dorking from 1st May, 2008.

I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists and a Practitioner Member of the UK Reiki Federation. I am fully insured.

I am continually updating my knowledge of my current therapies, both by research and by study. I have added other therapies as required to my portfolio in order to increase my ability to help my clients.

In 2007, I took a short course with the Hart Centre in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) which provides useful tools for clients suffering from phobias and addictions. I have taken an excellent course with Satovita in Improving Fertility Naturally, using Traditional Chinese Medicine, which has given me additional skills in this area. I have also completed a fascinating course in Reiki Healing for Horses with Jan Barley and have carried out 30 hours of case studies. I am now qualified and insured to practise this (see my
Reiki page). I have also taken a course in Marketing for Therapists with Jan.

I am currently studying for the Merishia Animal Massage Course which will hopefully allow me to add Equine and Canine Massage to my portfolio early in 2008.

During 2008, I am hoping to take a course for therapists at Penny Brohn Cancer Care (formerly the Bristol Cancer Help Centre) and, if there is time, a course in Saddle Fitting with Hartford Equine Services/Saddle Exchange.
